Most UAE t-shirts fall into two camps: airport souvenirs with a camel and a skyline, or imported fast fashion with nothing to do with this country at all. We wanted a third option — a t-shirt that means something to someone who actually lives here.

Every Sahra & Beyond t-shirt starts at a real place in the Emirates. Not a landmark you have seen on a postcard, but the places people drive out to on a Friday: one of the darkest accessible skies in the country, the edge of the Empty Quarter, a wadi in the northern mountains. Each design is original artwork, printed or embroidered on heavyweight 230gsm combed ring-spun cotton, and made in limited runs.

Three designs, two fits. Al Quaa Galaxy and Hajar Mountains are printed direct to garment, so the ink sits in the cotton rather than on top of it; Empty Quarter is embroidered. Each comes in a straight Regular fit or a drop-shoulder Oversized, S to XL. If you are buying in Dubai or anywhere in the UAE, delivery is free and arrives the next working day on orders placed by 2 pm.

Fabric, cut and make

What makes these different from a souvenir t-shirt

A souvenir shirt is designed to be recognised by a tourist. Ours are designed to be recognised by someone who has been there.

The Al Quaa design maps the Milky Way as it actually rises over one of the darkest accessible skies in the Emirates, far enough south that no city glow reaches it. The Empty Quarter design is a tonal embroidered sun over the dune ridges of Liwa. The Hajar design reduces the peaks above Wadi Naqab to contour lines. If you know the place, the design reads instantly. If you do not, it still works as a graphic.

The fabric, plainly

All our t-shirts are 230gsm, 100% combed ring-spun cotton. That is a heavyweight — noticeably more substantial than a standard 150–180gsm shirt — which is what gives it structure so it hangs properly instead of clinging.

Every piece has a ribbed crew neck that holds its shape, and taped collar and shoulder seams so the shirt survives washing. Printed graphics are direct-to-garment, which sits the ink into the cotton rather than laying a plastic panel across your back, so the fabric still breathes. The Al Quaa and Hajar designs pair that print with an embroidered logo, and the Empty Quarter design is embroidered throughout, with no print at all — so every piece in the range carries stitching somewhere.

Regular and oversized fits

The t-shirts are cut unisex — one cut worn by everyone, no separate men's and women's versions — in sizes S to XL, and each design comes in both a Regular and an Oversized fit. The polo is a men's cut, S to XL, in one fit. Regular is a classic straight cut that layers cleanly under a shacket or jacket. Oversized is a relaxed, wider cut with a dropped shoulder, designed to be worn on its own.

Limited runs

Each design is produced as a limited first run. When a size sells out, we may or may not make it again — and we will not promise that we will. We would rather make a small number of things properly than keep a warehouse full of everything.

Frequently asked questions

Where do you ship?

We ship worldwide from Dubai. In the UAE: free next-day delivery to all seven emirates, with no minimum order — order by 2 pm and it arrives the next working day. GCC (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait): 3–5 working days, AED 50, free over AED 390. Everywhere else: 7–14 working days, AED 80. Any import duties on international orders are payable on arrival. Exact cost always appears at checkout before you pay.

What size should I order?

Every t-shirt design comes in Regular and Oversized fits, S to XL; the polo comes in one fit. Our size guide has full flat-lay measurements, plus a method for measuring a t-shirt you already own to find your match.

What is the cotton, exactly?

100% combed ring-spun cotton at 230gsm, with no polyester. Combing strips out the short fibres and ring-spinning twists what remains into a smoother, stronger yarn — that is where the weight and the hand come from. We describe the yarn we actually buy and make no certification claims we cannot show you.

Will designs be restocked?

Each design is a limited run. We may make more of a design later, but we do not promise it. When a size sells out in a run, treat it as gone.
