There is a meaningful difference between an oversized cut and simply buying your usual size up, and it comes down to where the shoulder seam sits.

In the Regular fit that seam stays at your natural shoulder point at every size. Going up a size adds width through the chest, but the shoulder does not move — you get a roomier version of the same silhouette. A true drop shoulder is a different pattern, not a larger copy of the same one. On the Oversized fit the seam is set 2–3″ below the natural shoulder point, out over the arm.

That is what creates the shape. Not extra fabric hanging off a standard cut, but a garment drafted from the start to sit differently on the body. It is why sizing up in a Regular and taking the Oversized in your usual size produce genuinely different results, even at a similar chest measurement.

At M the Oversized measures 23.5″ across the chest against 20″ for the Regular — 3.5″ more at the same letter, measured flat, pit to pit. That difference is doing the work people often credit to length. The Oversized tee is not dramatically longer; it is wider, and width combined with the dropped seam is what builds the silhouette.

The full range, flat: S is 22.5″, M is 23.5″, L is 25″ and XL is 26.5″. Note that the step differs from the Regular fit — 1.5″ per size above M here, against 2″ there — so the two charts are not interchangeable and the gap between the fits narrows slightly as the sizes go up. Tolerance is ±0.5″ on every measurement.

The effect is a garment that sits away from the chest and shoulders rather than skimming them, with the sleeve opening set further along the arm.

In UAE heat, how cloth sits against skin matters as much as the cloth itself. The extra width through the chest and shoulders means the 230 GSM cotton is not pulled taut against the body — there is room for air to move between fabric and skin instead of the shirt sitting flush.

This is a function of the cut, not of anything special about the fabric. It is the same combed, ring-spun cotton used across the Regular fit and the polo, simply draped more loosely because of the drop shoulder and the wider chest. A looser garment also moves more independently of the body as you do, which is part of why an oversized silhouette tends to feel less close over a long day outdoors.

A practical reason to choose the cut, alongside the look of it.

Because this fit is built on width rather than length, sizing comes down to how much room you want through the chest and shoulders rather than how tall you are.

Measure an oversized piece you already like the fit of: lay it flat and measure straight across from armhole seam to armhole seam, an inch below the armhole. Compare that number directly to ours — S 22.5″, M 23.5″, L 25″, XL 26.5″. These are flat garment measurements, so there is no doubling involved.

Do not assume your Regular fit letter carries across. The Oversized is a different pattern with a different grading step, so it is worth checking the number rather than defaulting to habit. Between two sizes, the smaller gives a defined drop shoulder and the larger pushes the silhouette looser still. The range is S to XL, unisex; we do not produce an XXL.
